I have known Don and Angela for a while now, and they are some of the sweetest, kindest people I have had the pleasure of photographing. This session was different, though. For the first time, I got to spend real time with their family, explore the outside of their beautiful home, and finally get to know their son a little better too. Their dog Luna even joined in for a few frames, and she was an absolute delight.
There is a moment from this session that has stayed with me. Their son was sitting on the stone wall in front of their home, completely at ease, just being himself. I remember looking at him and thinking about how lucky he is. Not lucky in a small way, but lucky in the way that comes from a family who has built something intentional and warm and lasting.
Woodbridge is a place many families choose on purpose. People come here for the schools, for the sense of community, for the quiet, tree-lined streets that still feel like home. Photographing a family in front of the house they built that life inside of is a reminder of why this work matters to me. It is not just a portrait. It is a record of a life someone worked hard to create.
If you are considering a family portrait session in Woodbridge, CT, I would love to help you capture this season of your life the same way. Every family has a story like this one. I would be honored to help you tell yours.
